Kalekye Mumo was born in 1976. She is a bubbly media personality, Mcee, musician and a healthy lifestyle ambassador. Currently, She host’s a T.V. programme called Talk Centrl in k24.
She grew up in Nairobi’s Westland’s suburbs. Her childhood was marred with illnesses and at a tender age of three years, she was diagnosed with a hip condition that left her immobilized and had to live with a cast for several years.
After her high school, she studied media and communications in campus. After graduating, Kalekye Mumo worked at the Turkish Embassy, then at HomeBoyz deejays outfit as an administrator, Rough Cuts, Medeva TV as a sound engineer, Capital FM as a breakfast host before joining Kiss F.M. as a news editor and reader and finally a Drive presenter. She later moved to WG radio FM, an online radio station. Later in July 2017, she landed a television gig as the presenter of Talk Central on K24.
Kalekye Mumo started her musical career at a tender age of 3 years. She has an eloquent sweet voice that made her sing in the church choir and host karaoke nights. She released her first single song ‘My Baby’ in 2013
Kalekye Mumo has irritable bowel syndrome (chronic abdominal pain, discomfort, bloating, and alteration of bowel habits) so when she visits you don’t offer her bread and milk.
