Kanjii Mbugua is a Kenyan musician and CEO of Kijiji Agency, a digital media agency that does music recording and distribution. He got saved when he was 10 years in a Scripture Union Camp. Kanjii Mbugua attended Makini school for his primary school education then joined Nyeri Baptist School for his secondary education.
After high school, In 1997, He was appointed Kenya’s Youth Ambassador to the world. He decided to take music seriously by joining Joseph Hellon’s Real Music School for voice lessons taking voice lessons, learning production and mastering the art of music. He also travelled to US and joined Biola University to study music and vocal performance and also met his wife Mwendie who was in the US for a musical tour.
Kanjii Mbugua also studied contemporary music in Musicians Institute in Hollywood and Audio Engineering and Music Business at Dallas’ Sound Lab. During this time he also met with some of his friends in the US and they formed the Milele Music Group. An urban gospel music group, they were able to record four albums tilted Forever, Level Up, Afrique and Monday..
In 2008 Kanjii Mbugua won the Groove Award Male Artist of the Year and the 2009 Best Live Music Performer of the Year as a solo artist. He now runs Kijiji Agency. In 2013 his company produced the Niko Na Safaricom Live music show.
